Weekly Programs

Reality Changers meets at 6pm every Tuesday and Thursday in downtown San Diego and every Wednesday in Solana Beach (click here for directions). Students must know 10 S.A.T. vocabulary words before eating dinner, which is provided by RC families. At 7pm, the site director, community leaders, or the students themselves give a Bible-based and/or education-based lesson. The student-led “Congress” begins at 7:30 pm where members practice their college note-taking skills.
At the conclusion of each Congress session, the Direct Success tutors assist the RC members in all subjects until the meeting’s close at 9pm.

Forest Home

Forest Home High School Director Angie Horn-Andreu describes this camp located in the San Bernardino Mountains as "a place where people can come to experience God's love and worship Him in a beautiful setting, removed from day-to-day schedules, routines, and distractions. (Forest Home) High School camps are a place where teenagers connect with God, engage in meaningful conversations about God's word and call to follow Him, all to be continued as they return home to change their world with Christ."

UCSD Academic Connections

Eligible students can take advantage of this exciting, three-week summer program held on the UCSD campus. Students enroll in only one course that is designed to be an in-depth exploration of particular topics. Morning sessions are held in a traditional lecture format, afternoon sessions are held in a workshop or laboratory setting, and evening sessions provide students with time to complete daily homework assignments and receive personal tutoring. Students are invited to actively participate in all class discussions.

The intense immersion in a particular subject has proven to be both challenging and stimulating for students. In addition to their course work, students enjoy a rich experience outside the classroom. They live on campus under the supervision of residential program assistants and participate in activities ranging from sports, to arts and crafts, to music, to special events such as dances and a student talent show. The UCSD Academic Connections staff provides a safe and supportive environment, appropriate for pre-collegiate students.
